Dear victims (please read),
Sometimes they just don’t believe
That what they’re doing to you
Could leave scars beneath your sleeve
A wound within your heart
A broken dream upon your mind
A tear fallen out of innocent eyes
A tragedy on rewind.
But, please don’t give up on this…
This battle fought inside
This war where you are left tied up
While they shoot you with lies.
Please, you know they’re the ones
That will never make it through
The reality of this world,
By hurting people like you.
Please, don’t give up,
Just keep fighting this battle within
And remember, while you may be the victim…
The victim always wins.

R.I.P.
Did anyone notice that she winced if you raised your arm?
Did anyone notice that her eyes were wide with alarm?
Did anyone notice that she never looked you in the eye?
Did anyone notice that her voice was but a sigh?
Did anyone notice that her skin was always bruised?
Did anyone question whether she might be abused?
Did anyone question why she walked in obvious fear?
Did anyone question why one day she did not appear?
Did anyone recognize her face on the six-o’clock news?
Did anyone see her remains pulled from the river refuse?
Did anyone care that this quiet girl no longer exists?
No. No one did. And she will never even be missed.

Being A Good Person is a CHOICE!
Now, imagine this situation for a moment:
You are a good father, a wonderful husband.
You go 'pray' every Sunday, doing a wonderful lip-service.
You've taken your kids to soccer practice
And you are ready to enjoy your Sunday.
Tui bu qi, ni ke yi pang wo ma?
You turn around and see an old Chinese lady.
She can't speak English and needs assistance.
You pretend you cannot hear her and drive away.
Smooth-stuff dad, you should return that #1 mug...
To me however, there would be no question.
I was late to a part-time job, it would actually cost me money;
And did I mention I can't speak Chinese either?
Instead I communicated with gestures and

It was because her parents had named her for the grandmother who had broken her mother’s heart. The grandmother whose heart was supposed to have melted from her birth and hadn’t.
That was why her mother barely looked at her. That was why she called her ‘girl’.
That was why she liked to pretend she was the quiet woman in the background of an old black and white movie. Because everything here was like an old black and white movie.
[And if she really looked back, her mother had never appreciated the elegance of the 1950s enough.]

It was because she hated surprises. The surprise she got on her sixth birthday wh

If you guys are wondering what i meant by "a victim always wins"...
I meant that, in fairytales and things like that, the people who are victims of the bad guys (i feel childish saying that, but y'know, whatever haha) always win.
Does that make sense? I dunno. I'm sorry if it doesn't D:
DEAR VICTIMS.
NEVER think you are less than anyone. NEVER hate who you are, what you look like, and NEVER give up.
YOU. ARE. WORTH. EVERYTHING. <3
