Before you kill yourself,
Remember just one little thing.

There are places to go,
Where you have never been before.
How can you be sure those places are bad?

There are things to see,
Things you have never seen before.
How can you be sure those things are ugly?

There is a new tune to hear,
Something you've never heard before.
How can you be sure that tune is scary?

There are words to be said,
Things that have never been said before.
How can you be sure those words are hurtful?

There are dreams to be imagined,
Things you have never dreamed before.
How can you be sure that they are nightmares?

Darling, please don't give up.

Please stay strong.

And please.
Don't let go.
Remember this. <3

i can't think of a good ending so... just ... pleaaaaase stay strong you guys! <3

And anyone who says you can't do it? Well, ignore it. Because you can.

Comments? :)

This is so true. It's always important to try your best to remember the future when dealing with suicide. Sometimes the present is just so horrible you can't think too far ahead, you just see the immediate horrors.  I appreciate that you take the time to remind your followers of that.

I really love this. Every time I feel like I should just give up on everything, I remember this poem and read it. So I must really thank you for writing this :)

Personally, what keeps me going is my friends and family. If I commit suicide, 4other people will want to do the same, and I can't inflict that pain on the people I love.

I guess if you're at the point of wanting to end your life, you won't really be thinking about the future, if you're gonna end your life you're thinking about how bad now is, and that you just want it to stop.. you can say it's easy if you've never been through it but during that time, is is very hard to think rationally about anything. And some people don't want to bear the pain of having to wait for those good things to come. Which is understandable. I have a friend that see's me having good things but nothing has come his way yet, as in friends, a relationship, he see's everyone else in one already and he wants that and questions why he must wait for that. He isn't suicidal, but that's what suicidal people think, but they take it to the point where they just can't wait and see if something happens for the better. Cause tbh, who wants to be in that much pain, to the point they want to kill themselves and think that they may just have to wait it out a few years and be strong. Especially people that find it hard making friends. Or finding a relationship and have bad family problems. This world isn't meant to be faced alone, and many people are.. and it's hard.
Also, when you've got the main mental problems, so depression, paranoia, anxiety, all together it can be hard, all those problems cloud everything. Trust me I have all of these things and I have in the past been suicidal and the bad things your mind throws at you makes it impossible to be rational about it. I'm just lucky I had someone to pull me out of it every time.

But anyway, enough of that xD Sorry, it's just that suicide is a subject that is touchy for me, ya know? Apart from the issue of sometimes you literally can't think of those things, some can, this is beautiful. I always like seeing people that don't see suicide as cowardly but they just see someone that needs kind words and comfort rather than saying that they must think of everyone else they're selfishly leaving behind. So thank you for writing this ^^

It makes me sad, when people claim
That they experienced also pain
And now have a reason to tell me why
I do not have the right to die.

These people do not understand, they only think they do -
The truth is simply that they do not have a clue.
It's so terrible when people say:
"You feel much better when you work and pray!"

I was never happy and I will never be,
Because no matter what I do and what I see:
I just hate to live. I know that's hard to understand,
But life is not what I wanted or what I planned.

Of course I could fight, but why should I ?
It's so much easier for me to die.
People have called me crazy coward all the time,
That's why I wrote this little, spontaneous rhyme :P

Don't worry, I don't want to kill myself at the time ^^
I just hate it when people say that suicide is cowardly. It is NOT!
There are problems which can never be solved ... chronic illnesses or incurable diseases.
I have bipolar disorder since my birth (I'm 21 now) and I will have it for the rest of my life.
I will never be able to work or to have a normal life.
The most cowardly and most painful way to die is the natural death in my opinion ...

Sorry for my bad English ... I'm German ^^

Whenever I've talked to people, friends, family, anyone..that wants to die, they're so angry with me, and make it difficult for me to help them. It's as if some people don't want help, or there just isn't enough to make them feel better. Every year since I moved to this awful town has been worse and worse, and I would never commit suicide simply because I'm scared of what will happen when I die, but I have felt that feeling before of hopelessness so many times, yet when I feel it there's no one there for me to talk to. This message is an inspiration though. I hadn't quite thought of some of what you said. Many people say hurtful things to me, and I realized with your message that you're right, there are good words to be said. I suppose we're all needy and impatient. I'm glad you care about the people that read your words, though.

A beautiful place won't eliminate the misery inside of you, though. Depressed people usually don't have the desire to get out and see places. People that want to die won't try to change their own minds.

Pretty sure those who attemtps suicide ,probably got no chance to explore anything ,got no freedom ,or rights ,or powerless to fight back, Like a random women at some extreme-religious eastern countries or some other example ,you name it.

I mean self-killing is still bad,  and wouldn't solve many things in the end of the day.But I just don't get it how it's gonna make them stay strong,to any real-suicidal with real problem  ,other then some teenager chick with daddy issues who clains to be very ''suicidal''.Get real.
pandaway Featured By Owner Nov 1, 2013
Actually, first world countries and developed countries have higher suicide rates. Not all of them, but plenty enough to weight in comparison to third world countries.
Given that the people there most likely had freedom, the chance to explore, had rights and power to fight back, One can conclude that the environment and life quality are not necessarily (and most likely not) relevant as to a person's suicidal tendencies.

I live in a third world country were violent crimes are responsible for an annual death toll higher that the one found in many countries that are at war. On this year we've had an inflation of about 50%, so economically it's pretty damn hard. It's not safe, you don't feel safe, anywhere, one most always live alert to everyone and everything around you. Yet hearing about suicide here is a very rare thing, and if you come by with a good attitude you'll found we are actually very happy people, we live by, making jokes about all this mess we live in, in a jolly way, hoping and trying our best to make it a better place, we've learnt to enjoy the very simple things, everyday God's gifts, friends, the beach, the nice weather, the food, a good conversation, family, flowers, even beer, we don't take ourselves too seriously, and we don't get overly dramatic with our problems, instead, we always hope things would change for the best.

So I differ from what you say, I don't think the ones who attempt suicide are the ones you mention. From what I've learnt, those people are actually most likely to keep on fighting and keep on living, just for the hope of seeing a better future, just like we do.

Ah, Venezuela! :C

Maybe suicides tolls are the lowest on latin america not because we make fun about whatever thing happens in our country, but also because everything is so expensive you couldn't have enough money to buy something to kill yourself! (Unless you resist to an assault and the malandros shoot you)

*Sighs* I dream about a better country, and about having a big red button on my desk, so when I push it I could blow Miraflores right away c: That would be nice...
pandaway Featured By Owner Nov 2, 2013
Jajajaja. Nah, you don't need money to kill yourself, all you need is a high enough building, or to waltz in a barrio in the middle of a shooting xD That'll do it. If anything I think it's even easier to kill yourself here xD, there are no fireman telling you not to jump nor hot lines for suicidal people. Which is pretty sad tho.
But like Laureano Marquez said: "We ain't suicidal, you think we want to die without seeing how does all this shit ends?? nobody wants to miss that!, that's quite a cliffhanger."
NewProvidence Featured By Owner Oct 29, 2013
I perfectly remember that day when I was only 10 years old and wanted to commit suicide in front of the class by throwing myself off the window. Years of depression, PTSD, mental breakdown, all in that one fateful moment. Exactly the same thoughts as these above jumped to my head when I was almost about to give up despite having not one but several classes turned against me. Since then it's been haunting ever since. So my message is: suicide is for cowards. You're not only giving yourself a bad name, but you're missing so many beautiful things out there. No problem is unsolvable. Everything is possible and nothing is as it seems. Have courage to stand up and keep fighting believing one day it will all be better. Be like phoenix, emerging stronger from every defeat and letdown.

"Revenge isn't the answer"

Which you know what?

Cheesy, but true.

Cheesy lines are cheesy, but no matter how cheesy, they're always true.

Probably not ^-^

Try to make sense of it for about five minutes, then give up if you don't understand it *Shrugs*
