Feel the pain aching through your bones
Your flesh, seemingly fading to dust
Your mind, burning
Your thoughts, racing.
Dying.
Breaking.

"It'll be okay."
No it won't.
"I know."

Fight the tears, your father can't see you cry.
After all
You're a fighter.
Right?

"You can do this."
No, I can't.
"Thank you."

Breathe.
Slower.
Slower.
No.
Faster.
Stop.

Shut up.

You
Can't
Win.

After all
You don't have cancer.

Cancer
Is who you are.

This is what I'd imagine goes through a person's head when they have cancer.
Of course, everyone is different.
And some people may not go into depression after hearing about Cancer and maybe they really do believe in the happy thoughts, unlike I was expressing here.
I'm sorry if I was wrong D:

This is pretty much exactly what went through my head... each of the three times I found out I had cancer.

Someone very close to me made it through Cancer. I think this was kind of what was going through his head; that and fear. This is really good.

this is really good! my gran had cancer and died due to complications and judging by what she went through this is pretty accurate.

its fine! I'm used to things happening because my friend died two years later. It's fine though because I have a wonderful family and I am still going. I am going to do a 25 mile walk in April to raise money for a cancer charity as well so knowing I can help others keeps me going!
