Literature Text
As liquid regret drips down your face,
I ask you to kiss your scars goodnight,
Because one day, I promise they will fade into yesterday,
And be erased for the next tomorrow.
Your most frightening nightmares could transform
Into your most glorious daydream.
Remember to say goodbye to your tears,
Because once they leave,
It will be quite a while before they do return.
Darling, lift your sleeves,
And show the world that what was once hidden
Behind fear and lost emotions,
Is now exposed and ready to flee from your
Skin.
I ask you to kiss your scars goodnight,
Because one day…
Today…
I promise, they will fade into yesterday…
And be erased into eternal tomorrows.
I ask you to kiss your scars goodnight,
Because one day, I promise they will fade into yesterday,
And be erased for the next tomorrow.
Your most frightening nightmares could transform
Into your most glorious daydream.
Remember to say goodbye to your tears,
Because once they leave,
It will be quite a while before they do return.
Darling, lift your sleeves,
And show the world that what was once hidden
Behind fear and lost emotions,
Is now exposed and ready to flee from your
Skin.
I ask you to kiss your scars goodnight,
Because one day…
Today…
I promise, they will fade into yesterday…
And be erased into eternal tomorrows.
Literature
For every goodbye I ever gave,
there is a void that has yet to be filled.
You
probably don't remember when
we stayed up all night counting
stars or how this world
wasn't actually
real.
We were our own gods.
The day your faith died
was the day your mother whispered
"He's living with her now" and you
stopped
breathing
long enough to forget I was standing
there,
too.
Fast forward to
too many
years later,
we locked eyes in whitewashed
halls.
Amnesia was
written in the creases of
your skin like narcotic
borderlines between living and
acting and you could only
pretend like I wasn't
there—just a
whisper in the wind
that reminded you
of being human once upo
Literature
an apology to anyone who'll listen
It begins with a wish
and ends with a sigh.
I am in love with boys who
don't exist and girls who I sometimes
pretend are myself. Spineless,
spiteful, and one hundred percent
sporadic,
I'm becoming undone.
When I was
younger I thought it
was a sin if
your parents didn't
love each other. Now I
know that it's
just the way this world works.
And hell,
I need you right now;
to tell me that
gaining four pounds in
three days is typical
to tell me that
living in a dream every
second is perfectly okay
to tell me that
I'm normal, that I'm
still sane, that I'm not
going to close
Literature
I'll Tell My Secrets To The Moon
So long as you furnish me with a window
And a steel frame bed in a corner of a room
I’ll endeavour to keep the pane transparent
To give my eyes a crystal clear view of the moon
Regardless of what phase you are going through
Whether it be half, crescent, full, blue or new
You have never once shown me your dark side
But so many times I have shown mine to you
But tranquillity can be seen on a clear night
Tides roll through my veins as thoughts flood to my pen
Of all the ancestors that have gone before me
Who've had the same moon looking down over them
So long as you furnish me with a window
And a steel frame bed in a corner of a room
Yo

I really like this poem. I feel it speaks to the reader on emotional levels, whether you can relate to it or not. I like how it's structured, but mostly I just like the feel of it. It flows smoothly, yet the deeper meaning still gets across. I like how, even if you can't relate to it exactly, it's still about leaving the bad in your past behind, something that I have a difficulty doing. It reminds me of a certain band's lyrics, the style and the words are a bit similar. This is a job well done. Keep up the good work.
