Smile.
Laugh.
Run
Faster.
Faster.
Stop.

"What are you doing?"
Trying to escape.
"Nothing."

Look behind you.
Are they there?
Shh.

Shut up.

Don't.
Say.
Anything.

"What's wrong?"
You'll never understand it.
"Never mind."

Scream.
Scream louder.
Rip your hair out.
Cover your ears.

"Calm down."
I can't.
"I'm sorry."

They want you to die.
They're out for you.
Shut the door.
Lock it.
Unlock it.
Lock it again.
Hide.
Shh.

"Are you okay?"
I'm dying.
"I'm fine."

You'll never make it.
Freeze.
Fall to the ground.
Cry.
Cry harder.

Stop.

"What are you doing?"
Dying.
"What are you going through?"
Torture.
"What's wrong with you?"
Everything.

... "I don't know."
I have something close to schizophrenia, but not quite.
I just decided to title it something different than my last poem, about Bipolar xD

Thanks for reading, comment maybe? :)

This is beautiful... I can't even explain why, it's just... bitterness, pain, sadness, inner torture, the emotion, it's just beautiful.

Well, I have so much everyone says to be wrong with me, seeing in my last comment about my troubles with not feeling able to make anyone happy or keep them happy, I also suffer from minor schizophrenia, I'll see things that aren't there...

My best friend is schizophrenic. We're close enough to be sisters, and though she doesn't hear voices, she sees things and hears things that aren't actually there. When I spend the night at her house (Almost weekly) she's constantly looking around, checking the window, her closet, the door, etc. I used to ask why, and the answer's always, "I thought I heard something."

The way she describes it...it matches up with this pretty well. Good job! Keep up the good work! <3

My husband is schizophrenic. He says the voice in his head is constantly telling him that everyone is trying to kill him and he's always seeing things that aren't there. I can't possibly understand what he is going through but your poem freaked me out a bit. :D Maybe that's what he's feeling only all the time. :/

One of my friends... well, he's not really a friend of mine (I guess we all hate him in a way... but that's his own fault anyway) is a schizo, so I guess I can relate in a way.

Though I liked you Bipolar piece a little more, since I'm bipolar myself... and damn paranoid as well. :aww:

this seems a tad off for schizophrenia, but i think the general "shape" of it is right. i like it. the repetition is nice, and the feeling of it is good

my mom has paranoid schizophrenia (along with a few other disorders) and sometimes i overlook how hard it must be for her. this has kind of reminded me that i shouldn't be so tough on her. i think i'll do something nice for her today!

np! and when i said it seemed a tad off i didn't necessarily mean that as a bad thing! i prob should've worded it differently haha. i just meant that it seems you focused more on the paranoia than the hallucinations, which is perfectly fine. it really is a lovely poem~

she gets by pretty good as long as she has her medication :)

It has good energy, I really like how you used repetitions of some phrases. ("Lock it. Unlock it. Lock it again.") It really gives a great flow. The atmosphere is really well done, I like how they seem to be different "voices" and the short sentences remind me breath. It painted a very dark but very memorable picture in my head.
