Literature Text
There she lies on dirty pillows
Scratching the bottoms of sidewalks
For food.
Some people wish for a house made of gold
Well, she just wishes for a home.
Some people wish for a lovely dinner
While she simply wishes for a meal.
But a smile lies
On her innocent face
For she does not yet know greed.
Selfishness.
Hatred.
Keep in mind the girl's young age
Her innocence toward anger and rage.
A girl with the eyes filled with silent pain
But nevertheless, a smile on her face.
One day a man came about
And offered her something to eat.
Two apples and a bread of wheat.
She took some bread crumbs and gave them to the birds
Without crying a tear or saying a word.
So she split what remained of the bread right in two
And gave him one of the fruit.
"Let's share it," she said, with a grin on her face
"For there's nobody else willing to."

You Don't Know Your Daughter At All
Just because she is no longer in a cradle
Does not mean that your baby wont fall
And if you think that her smile means she is happy
Then you don’t know your daughter at all
On arriving home from school she runs up the stairs
And locks herself away in her room
It’s so easy to think that it’s just teenage angst
That will pass in time and be gone soon
Perhaps you assume that it is just boy trouble
A romance that will soon be forgot
Yes, maybe her problems are just a passing phase
But then again what if they are not
What if they’re deep rooted in the parental soil
That you’ve been failing to cultivate
As she grow

The Story of Little Doll
There once was a doll with a broken, heart face,
Without a pretty smile no one remembered her name.
She sat without friends amongst the cuddly toys,
And got picked up and threw about by some of the rowdier boys.
Her porcelain was chipped and she was missing a curl,
She looked more like a monster than a sweet little girl!
The shopkeeper couldn’t sell her so kept her by the till:
‘Not for sale’- she never sat by the window sill.
It was a fear in the shop that she would scare customers away,
So little doll watched people pass, collecting dust every day.
And sometimes, perchance, when she caught sight of herself,
She thought abo
